Woah Brittany Murphy died of Cardiac arrest. She was only 32, wow :(

Edit:
The con artist skeevy husband doesn't want an autopsy? Way to not look suspicious.

A couple of other cute things on Etsy today.

A recycled junk Spinning wheel
I thought this was so clever and fun.

Sewing Machine is Beautiful print
I love pieces like this. It reminds me a bit of an Escher or what you'd get if Escher and Dali had a baby.

Ok, yes, so I am excited.  It was FUN.  I haven't made this many batts in forever.  I LOVED it.

And I have more to do before the update...

In other news... this morning, it rained and rained and rained and rained. It has rained a lot lately.

But this morning, it rained hard. Mr. Ass spent the morning in the bathtub.

I finally got up and he got up and we met at the back door.

*this doesn't look good"

*taking a picture with the flash is not making it any better*

*what the hell do you expect me to do out there?*

*That is a CREEK in the yard mom.*

*I can't even see the sand you complain about all the time*

*can't you see the rain mom?*

*I think this is a very very bad idea*

*how long will you be at work again?*

*do you have to go to work?*

*do you have to go allllll day?*

*oh alright dammit - but I am just gonna pee - keep the door open - I will be right back!*

note the time.....

One quick photograph.....

*oh thank god*

And he was BACK.

*the things I have to put up with around this dump - shake shake shake - shake your booooty*

Isn't he a funny dog!!!

What would I do without him?

Things are kicking along around here. Fiber play in abundance!

I took today off to regroup, renew, and revive. I got all of my "responsibilities" done so I am all set to just play through the holidays... oh yeah, well, there are still gifts and stuff but yeah.... the big stuff is over. Woohoo.

So, last night I sat down and watched a movie. Tonight, I played online and uploaded pictures and watched TV.
And I rested. A LOT.
And we all know what happens after I get a good night sleep!
Yup, art abound! The idea tree overfloweth! hehehe

Although, I tell ya, it is 10pm and I all ready to sleep MORE. Amazing how your body begs for it after it has been denied for so long. I probably will sleep through the holidays... well... except during that whole day job thing! But it is a talented woman who can catnap with her eyes open!

So, expect an update tomorrow night! There is one fantasy bag, a bunch of fiber bags and one retake. Hope to see you there! Holly

p.s. Did I mention that life is good? It is you know.... there is always things one has to do that suck ass... but yeah, life is damn good.

Here's a tip; don't complain how poor you are and how you can't afford nice things for Christmas from your iPhone.

Because I will roll my eyes at you, yes I will.

Well, goodness, life is good. Sometimes, it goes by so quickly... I guess the time between Thanksgiving and Christmas are always like that in real life. Plus, my day job is super busy - we have visitors this week so lots of housekeeping. Wowser.
In the meantime? I have been playing fibers... they are here. I just haven't had time to get an update together.

After this weekend, I will be free - at least a bit - and will have time to get updates done, buy a few gifties and get ready for some relaxing time during the holidays. Like every year, I plan to Spin In the new year... make lots of yarns...and dye lots of wool.
SO be prepared for a ton of updates! I got wools that are ready to head to YOUR house! And hopefully a few new yarns as well.
Wanna see?

lazy mutt

Oh wait... he is mine... lazy ass and all. I swear, now that it is cold, he sleeps all day and then RUNS around the yard in the middle of the night. He is soooo silly. But yeah, I love him. I told him last night I am getting a smaller dog cause he refuses to carry his 50lb bags of food from the car. For a dog SOOOO skinny he surely eats a hella lot!

goodies
Some pretty fantasy bags in progress! Yeah! I hope they turn out as pretty as I imagine. I love putting together fantasy bags... they have all the ingredients that I love to spin. And are coordinated by me to create an impact! Easy fun art yarn spinning! They are not just wool and a few tabs of angelina - there are goodies galore!

coop
Some pretty coopworth - yummy stuff. I know... not all coopworth is fantabulous but these fleeces that I have been buying are so soft and lush - they remind me of cotswold lamb. They take dye beautifully and spin up like a dream. Great for creating curlies and swirlies in your yarns. And we know I am all about letting the sheeps freak flag fly!
Oops - I mean, letting the locks show themselves in the yarns...hehehehe. We love the sheepies and I have always said it is important to show the sheepies beauty in the yarn. When I create a yarn, I want you to wonder what kind of beautiful creature donated its hair to the yarn and think of beautiful happily loved animals milling around a field grazing.
And wonder who loves that sheep. And if they are cared for properly. And if they are happy.
And yes, I specifically buy wool from resources that are mostly rescue farms - animals that needed new homes and found their forever homes on farms where the condition of the animal comes before the money they can make from them. Places where animals have names and personalities and are loved for who they are, not how much money they bring into the farm. And where the younger lambs help to support the older sheep so that they can all live in comfort and harmony.
So sometimes I get lamb fleeces, sometimes grown up fleeces, and lots of in between - because, like Frannie, she may not be a lambie any longer.. and she may have had a few kids.... but she is still good and she still wants to contribute to the family with her lovely locks. She has pride and isn't ready for the old sheepies home just yet... she has some sproing in her locks for a few more years! So I make sure that her fleece isn't the last to leave the shed. No sheepies will be making fun of her this year... her locks are high on the must have list! :)

Ok, so best get some work done around here. I got purples in the pot! And a few batts to make if I feel inspired.... and yeah... lots to do!

OH and a picture of me...

I have been tired but happy, you know?

The right side of my face is still a little swollen... but the antibiotics seem to be working. I had a three tooth abcess. I still need to get the work done (two root canals, a tooth pulled and a bridge), but my insurance cap rolls over at the beginning of the year. Oh yes, that dental insurance I pay for is GREAT - bah. It won't pay squat anyway, but I can't get the work done if I don't have that bit added to it. And it was too infected to do the work last week anyway. So, I wait. :) Anyway, enough about that.

Life is good. I am still here. After this weekend, I will be here a lot more. Darn day job gets in the way of my fun sometimes!
Hugs to all.
Holly

Cholesterol comes mostly from the animal products you eat. Triglycerides are found in both animal fats and plant oils. Meats, such as liver and brains, contain lots of cholesterol. Other meats, butter, cheese and whole milk also contain substantial amounts.

BRAINS

Om nom nom

Has anyone seen Zombieland? It's so funny, the part where they are in Bill Murray's house... so funny. Did I mention it was so funny?

Can you die from eating too many roasted pistachios? Maybe it's the sodium. Something is amok and this small mountain of pistachio shells besides me points to a self inflicted overdose.
I've been watching Step Brothers and can't stop singing The Impression that I Get by The Mighty,Mighty Bosstones lol.
